Do not read on if you don't want surprises to be spoilt, regarding what the band played!
Night sixteen of the tour, which remains in Los Angeles, and the first of three nights in at the iconic Hollywood Bowl.
Reports are that the performance throughout was yet again superb, and proved an audio and visual treat! One small change was that A Great Day For Freedom was dropped for this show - would this be a permanent drop, or just temporary?
We'd love to know in more detail how the concert went. Did you go? Let us know what YOU thought!

CONCERT REVIEW by BD CONTRIBUTOR, JOHN McALISTER
I have travelled from Melbourne Australia to see the US shows and I met a Welsh couple who were in LA as they couldnât get tickets to the RAH shows. We walked from our hotel along Hollywood Boulevard to the Bowl with thousands of other people past the hawkers selling Gilmour t-shirts for $20, they would be $5 on the way home. The Bowl is very steep to get to and in the dark around the food outlets and merch stores it was pretty hectic.
The Bowl itself is a work of art and down in front they are having drinks and dinner on tables while in the back it is $1 seat cushions and over-priced sandwiches. At 7.30 PM Guy Pratt did his intro on mobile phones which the crowd largely abided by and then at 7.45 PM the show opened with 5AM. The sound wasnât quite loud enough for my ears but they may have been damaged over the decades so thatâs okay and the music sometimes whirled as it was cold and windy in the bowl. Gilmour remarked that he hoped we had brought blankets and indicated he was cold on stage.
I had avoided all set lists so that I could be surprised by every song and was glad I did, the choice to include Pink Floyd material very early on was a good one and I enjoyed the way the spectacle of the lights grew as the show went on. Certainly the growl of the last note on Sorrow was enjoyed by the rapturous crowd.
There was no âA Great Day for Freedomâ and while there was a giant mirror ball at the top of the bowl it was never used and no lights were shone on it, maybe a malfunction? Sitting slightly to the left of the stage the laser lights never appeared overhead so you tended to view them somewhat side on but it was good nonetheless. Happy that main set concluded with âScatteredâ as I really love that song and Gilmour blew everyone away with âComfortably Numbâ with the full kitchen sink of lights. My favourite song was âFat Old Sunâ, it had real punch and was at a part of the set early that just kicked everything up to a new level. I also enjoyed the variety of stage arrangements including the very soulful âGreat Gig in the Skyâ.
Happy crowd going home. Back tomorrow.
