COMMENTS
It is worth noting that the six shows at London's Royal Albert Hall are the entirety of his UK performances this time around. We suspect there could be dates elsewhere announced in due course.
Tickets for this concert go on sale in two stages. Fans in the UK/Ireland pre-ordering Luck and Strange from the official David Gilmour UK Album Store will get first access to tickets, via an exclusive ticket pre-sale on Thursday 9th May through Ticketmaster UK. If you have ordered from elsewhere, there IS, however, a "No purchase necessary" option you can select at David's store to get the pre-sale code without having to cancel your existing order.
The window to qualify for the pre-sale ends at 3pm UK on Wednesday, May 8th, with all existing pre-orders from the official David Gilmour UK Album Store also eligible. Pre-sale codes will be sent out later that day.
Tickets will then go on general sale at 10am UK on Friday, May 10th, through this link at Ticketmaster UK. We are sure that demand will be high for these special concerts. Our thanks to Rob Smith for the picture of the ticket shown to the right (with the row and seat details removed).

WARNING - SPOILERS AHEAD!
Do not read on if you don't want surprises to be spoilt, regarding what the band played!
Night thirteen of the tour (including the two dress rehearsals conducted in Brighton, on the south coast of England, last month), and the fifth of six nights in London. The Royal Albert Hall has long been a favourite of David Gilmour, and it is proving to be a great place to see him play again.
There was another change to the set list with the addition of the song A Single Spark from the new album, Luck and Strange, for this show. This means that the entire album is now played live, albeit not as a continual piece. Reports are that the performance throughout was yet again superb, and proved an audio and visual treat!
We hear that the inflatable balls during High Hopes were "enthusiastically enjoyed" by the audience, knocking them as much as possible toward the stage. At one point, one was heading in the direction of the backing vocalists - Romany lunged and nearly knocked over a mic stand. At another, Guy had to stand in front of David as he sat down for the slide guitar; Ben nodded one away mid playing, and Guy kicked one away mid playing!
We mentioned this in the first show review, but repeat it again here: for those interested, there were no major differences with the merchandise on offer - the normal range of t-shirts, hoodies and other accessories including tour programme, mug, cap and poster. Sometimes for the Royal Albert Hall, there's been a special poster, but all there is are the t-shirts and hoodies marked as from the London shows (as seen in the previous shows in Brighton and Rome). Last night, as with previous nights, the merchandise stall was swamped with people snapping things up eagerly so would suggest those who want to get something to commemorate the show, should buy before the concert, and not after, to reduce the chance of disappointment.
We'd love to know in more detail how the concert went. Did you go? Let us know what YOU thought!
CONCERT REVIEW and PICTURES by BD CONTRIBUTOR, PAUL SAIYA
After reading some of David's comments in the Uncut interview when the new album was announced I was hoping he was maybe going to leave the old 'classic' PF material behind - possibly to deny Roger PRS money! I thought that he would mine his own solo catalogue now he has five albums under his belt especially the first two which he's ignored since the 1984 tour. Of course he didn't although there was less than previous tours - 'Shine On', 'Money' and 'Run Like Hell' missing from the his last jaunt. It was great to hear all of the new album though and in the end the pacing of the set was excellent and the addition of Romany for most of the set gave the whole night a different sheen to previous tours. She is a great performer!
I have to say that David was struggling to hit the higher notes especially during the second half. That's not a criticism - he is 78 after all - although it may be time play some of the older songs in different keys to suit the notes he can still sing. His actual tone was fine though - that classic David vocal sound is still sounding superb.
I'm not a serial gig picture taker unless something catches my eye. Attached are my favourite three from the handful I took.
I think the one of David was at the beginning of 'Coming Back to Life' while Guy was during 'The Great Gig in the Sky'. David and Romany was taken during ' The Piper's Call' - the most rocking track of the night!
