The venue is now the Qudos Bank Arena but was formally known as the Acer Arena where Roger has played a few times before, such as 2007, so it will be familiar to him.
Roger on his Us + Them tour:
"We are going to take a new show on the road, the content is very
secret," said Roger Waters. "It'll be a mixture of stuff from my long
career, stuff from my years with Pink Floyd, some new things. Probably
75% of it will be old material and 25% will be new, but it will be all
connected by a general theme. It will be a cool show, I promise you.
It'll be spectacular like all my shows have been.”
The announcement notes that "Roger Waters' legendary live performances
are renowned as immersive sensory experiences featuring high class,
state-of-the-art audio visual production and breathtaking quad sound.
This new tour promises to be no exception; following months of
meticulous planning and visionary craft, US + Them will inspire crowds
with its powerful delivery and take the audience on an unforgettable
musical journey."

CONCERT REVIEW by BD CONTRIBUTOR, Clive Shaw
I went to the first night of the Sydney shows, and the show certainly lived up to its promise. Visually creative, stunning and involving.
The set list seems to have pretty much settled into the format seen on the US leg, which given the complexity of the show is only to be expected. However, what a setlist. Really good to have some stuff from Animals in there, which I always thought was under-rated album, and I think the new songs from ITTLWRW improve the more you hear them with the live presentation adding some depth and message to them as well. Surprising there is nothing from Amused to Death though as I think that it fits in well thematically with Is This The Life.....
The sound, even in the in a venue the size of the Qudos Arena was superb with the quadraphonic elements particularly well defined.
Off to the Perth show next (where I live) which I'm looking forward to more now as I am taking my 10 year olds to their first gig... sorry if it will ruin any future live shows for them because it is a lot to live up to! Also be interesting as it is a smaller venue (15,000 or so?), and the last night of the Australian tour, and Roger has now started saying things along the lines of it is probably his last tour down here.
YOUR HELP NEEDED! We want to cover Roger's concerts the best we can, to share the experience with everyone, especially those who won't be able to attend the shows. We'd love to see ANY pictures, tickets scans, reviews, newspaper reports, and anything else you come across for this show - we look forward to hearing from you!
