COMMENTS

Roger's 2016 tour kicks off in Mexico, for a pair of shows in at this large sports venue in Mexico City.

Roger Waters - Mexico City, Foro Sol, September 2016Making his return to Mexico four years after his previous visit, the concert poster/advert clearly hints at a much wider repertoire of material. The neonesque icons on the advert are (in order) for The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall, and the promoter's website suggests songs from all these will be performed. Obviously, material from The Wall is a given, but it is looking like a 'greatest hits' set, more akin to his pre-2010 tours. We will find out for sure in almost four months, but in the meantime, if you click the thumbnail to the left, you will be able to view the concert advert in more detail.

There is a Banamex Exclusive Cardmember presale which takes place on June 7th and 8th. The general sale of tickets starts on June 9th through via Ticketmaster.com.mx, by phone at 53-25-9000 as well as at the Foro Sol box office. For more information on the concert - including a ticket price breakdown (from $300 to $3500) can be found at ocesa.com.mx/evento/roger-waters.

CONCERT REVIEW by BD CONTRIBUTOR, Brion Hoke

Over the past four days I saw Roger three times. Twice at Foro Sol and tonight in Zocalo Square. The band was amazing with Jon Carin's harmonic melodies and the trio of Dave Kilminster, GE Smith and Snowy White bringing our much beloved music to life.

I have been so lucky to see some amazing shows over the years. The Wall, Dave Gilmour in Orange, Pula, Verona, Chicago and Tienen and Roger's Dark Side Tour, but of all the shows I truly enjoyed this one tonight the most. I love to make new friends and enjoy music with peaceful people and here tonight that was the case in Mexico City. This is a beautiful city with great people and truly amazing things to see, thanks Roger for showing me how great Mexico is!

YOUR HELP NEEDED: We want to cover Roger's concerts the best we can, to share the experience with everyone, especially those who won't be able to attend the shows. We'd like to see ANY pictures, tickets scans, reviews, newspaper reports, and anything else you come across for this show - we look forward to hearing from you.
