General sale tickets went on sale on November 14th at 10am through this link to Ticketmaster.com. Exact dates and outlets can be found via Roger's website. WARNING - SPOILERS AHEAD!
Do not read on if you don't want surprises to be spoilt, regarding what the band played, and what happened as the night unfolded!
Night forty-eight of the tour, and the production arrives in the Twin Cities. From the local media, the StarTribune were there and said that "Waters builds a relevant, satisfying 'Wall'. The reconstructed rock opera was better than in 2010, its updated references meshing well with its basic themes." At one point in their review they note: "Waters, 68, seemed more relaxed, more comfortable and more dramatic this time. Does marrying Wife No. 4 in January have anything to do with it?"
Also in the audience was the Pioneer Press, who call The Wall "still massive, moving". Their review notes that "It's an overwhelming experience, to be sure, but a rewarding one, too. Waters and his team clearly put plenty of thought, effort and passion into the proceedings, and it shows."
If you went to this show in St Paul, please let us know what you thought of the event, and if anything interesting or different happened if you've been to previous shows and can compare.
CONCERT REVIEW by BD CONTRIBUTOR, Eric Jokinen
Another spectacular show, this time Roger came to my home state, so this was extra special. Had row 27 on the floor this time, we could feel the heat from the fireworks during In The Flesh!
Roger talked a little more about Mr. De Menezes this time, just a brief add on.
I don't know if Roger does this deliberately, but here in Minneapolis/St. Paul, you are one or the other, you are either Minneapolis or you are St. Paul, you don't mix. Anyways, each time he has played in St. Paul he has referred to us as "Thank you Minneapolis" Meanwhile when he played in
Minneapolis in 2000 he referred to us as "St. Paul" However Outside The Wall we were referred to as "The Twin Cities" we'll take that!
Enjoy the shows upcoming everyone.
