Roger Waters ticketWARNING - SPOILERS AHEAD!

Do not read on if you don't want surprises to be spoilt, regarding what the band played!

After kicking off the European leg of his tour in style, Roger and his band treated the Hungarian crowds to another great show. With a setlist unchanged, no big surprises... just a fine show, well performed and well received.

CONCERT REVIEW - by BD contributer, Adam Varga

I went to Roger's concert last night, and I can tell it was really amazing. I'm just 16 years old, so I haven't been to a Pink Floyd or any member of the band's show before. The set list was unchanged.

The first half was really very good - I couldn't choose a "favorite number", I loved them all. I was happy to hear Set the Controls, because it was from Saucerful, and he didn't play anything else from these earlier albums. The saxophone solo was a bit surprising, but really enjoyable.

I was almost crying during Shine On - the sad synthesizer and guitar melodies with the pictures of Syd Barrett on the screen touched me very deeply.

Leaving Beirut caused the same feeling in me. Before that number Waters told the story of the song. He made contact with the audience: "This happened with me when I was at your age..." - and then he pointed to a 17-year-old guy. I think this was really nice from him (However, I was in the second row, so he smiled to me several times!).

During Sheep a big pig flied above us, while little pieces of paper were falling to the floor. There were important notes on it (e. g. "Fear builds Walls"). There was a flying spaceman too, during Perfect Sense.

After a short break Dark Side of the Moon started. The whole stuff was very good, but the highlight was On the Run. The sound of the sequencer and keyboards filled the whole place. Strange and frightening effects and sounds of screaming came out from the speakers suddenly (first from the top, then from the left side, etc. - total 5.1 surround!), while on the screen we could see stars running very fast. While they were performing Any Color You Like, a great prism appeared on the top, and started turn around and sent out laser waves from itself.

During Brain Damage, Waters walked up and down on the stage and said thank you to everyone. They finished Dark Side, but after a short time, they returned to play the encore. They played Happiest Days an Another Brick 2 (amazing!!), and after that Vera. During this number great (and hot!) explosions were made on the stage. Then Bring the Boys Back Home.

And last the greatest hit of Floyd - Comfortably Numb. When they finished it, I couldn't believe that this was the end.

CONCERT REVIEW - by BD contributer, Branko Markovic

Last night at Papp Laszlo arena was incredible.

I am from Serbia and with a few of my friends we came to Budapest for a concert because that is the nearest place from Belgrade that Roger is performing in. Set list was the exactly the same as it was on the two shows before the one in Budapest.

There are no words that I can use to describe the show, all I can say is - we really were on a dark side of the moon.

Roger, thanks for giving our lives a sense.

We came to Budapest from Zrenjanin, Serbia. After a decade of sanction, war, pounding and political games we can finally hear some (perfect) music. Bite of agony to get the visa for Hungary could not stop us taking the journey to Budapest. It was worth it. We were born again, happy and satisfied.

We hope to see Roger in Belgrade: WE CAN'T COME TO YOU - SO PLEASE, COME TO US. UZDRAVLJE.
