COMMENTS

An exstatic crowd greeted Roger and his band upon his appearance in the Turkish city. Another good show, and another show with a stable setlist. Seemingly, Roger has decided on the running order, and, barring surprise guests or problems, we think that the set is now pretty much cast in stone.

Next stop will be the village of Neve Shalom, in Israel. A historic show, and one that will hopefully be remembered for all the right reasons.

SHOW REVIEW

Believable! It was real! A night of most respectful art.

Roger Waters and Pink Floyd will be mentioned as the milestones of 20th century art in book that will be written 500 years from now. Roger is Gustav Mahler of modern times.

To me, Perfect Sence was amazing with "earthquake" under our feet. Roger was unhearable during the entire encore due to more than 10,000 singing and shouting along. But, Comfortably Numb lacked the mood of Pulse version although it was still astonishing.

What a great night. Thank you every single one who has participated in this project.

SHOW REVIEW

well this is so hard to describe. Witnessing Mr Roger Waters performing live has always been like a dream to me as an Iranian with all the obstacles for a rock concert to take place in my country, but thanks to our neighbor country Turkey, it came to reality.

words are far to small to express our feelings when Roger appeared on stage. You could hear screams and see cries of joy all over the place, and what a incredible moment when he started "In The Flesh". I couldn't stop the tears from falling down, seeing my teenage hero in front of me. For me all the songs were incredible but Vera, Sheep, the Fletcher MH and the whole Dark Side were the highlights.

Roger was so cool and of course his band were in best shape, what else could you expect. Thank you Istanbul for giving us such a remarkable night, and thank you Mr Waters for all your incredible songs.

SHOW REVIEW

By BD contributor, Shahin Kiaei, from Iran

I'm sure Roger had lots of fun that night with us in Istanbul. Die hard Floyd / Waters fans were all over the place and lots of them from my country, Iran, and they all screamed for him. But our story was different. We have lot of movies, pics and sounds from that night but they won't describe my feelings at all.

After all the obstacles I had for my trip to Istanbul, I abandoned myself and Roger carried me in his arms!

All my life I've been dreaming about Roger and he is really my man. After that night I realised: Oh my god, he is only a child! You must see him playing guitar and singing like a 12 year old boy who wanna play guitar for the first time! He plays with a lot of eagerness, enthusiasm and strong desire.

I couldn't stay with my friends that night. I had to face him alone and while i was crying / screaming / smiling for him, I have no doubt that this one night will change my entire life.

Our thanks to Cengiz VARLIK, Okan DOGU from www.pinkfloydturk.net, and to Tanol Turkoglu, for their help, from the moment the show was announced. Okan has set up a special Turkish fan website for this show - www.rogerwatersistanbul.com - which will be kept up to date with things specific to this show.
